More about this scene
As befitted a rapidly expanding modern town, with such a diversity of nationalities and religious persuasions, the spiritual needs of the new citizens were vigorously addressed, and there are now twenty- five places of worship in the town. One of these can be seen here in Stuart Road: on the left stands the Lutheran Church of St Paul, and next door is the church hall.
