Corfe Mullen, Pardy's Hill c.1955

More about this scene
Stan Leach and his wife kept Corfe Mullen Post Office (top right), which is still going under different ownership. His brand new Volvo once rolled, driverless, across Blandford Road and into Pardy's Hill, coming to rest harmlessly against the tree (centre). The waste ground to the right was once the site of the animal pound, where stray animals were penned to await collection by their owners.
