All My Yesterdays.

A Memory of Corringham.

I too used to drink at The Bull. Prior to being of age we used to try our luck but were never successful.
They had a Public Bar and a Saloon Bar. If I remember, the owners name was Charlie, and he was helped by his son-in-law Bob. Next to the Bull on the right was a detached cottage lived in by a Cow Man working in the farm next door. Young's Farm. Jim Young lived in Corringham Hall with his elderly mother. He had a brother Andy Young who lived in Fobbing Hall. Together, they farmed 1000 acres of land rented from one of the oil companies. The land swept round and connected both their farm houses. They had sheep, cows and grew a lot of vegetable and grain.
