Stranger In A Foreign Land

A Memory of Coseley.

Hello, I am just a a visitor to Coseley I came in the late 1980’s and stayed here ever since. I went to the Coseley Secondary School during that time and loved every moment. Yeah, as always there were some disputes along the way but I am now nearing half a century and I would love to share some memories if I may with you?

I am an artist by trade and I also write short stories I am writing one at the moment and hoping to turn it into a movie. I broke my leg, well fractured my femur bone in my right leg and I had to miss school for a couple of weeks or months I am not sure now. I remember going to my aunties who only lived up the road from my current location and it was just after Christmas and I was about 14. I was sat on the rockery with my cousin David and his friend Gavin and we were deciding what to play, he said let’s play Indiana Jones and I will be Short Round Matt you are the oldest so you can be Indiana Jones - by this time I had gotten to my feet and making my way down the slope of their back garden and I said Yeah I am Indyyyyyyy! And my right leg buckled underneath me and my right foot hit the back of my head and I was taken to hospital and had it repaired and plaster cast put on. I stayed in hospital for a few days and I came home and was immobile for a couple of months. Yeah those were the memories I carry with me now because the family my auntie and uncle are both dead now and looking down on us from the heavens so I became a part time author in my spare time and am now at the end of this memory.

Thank you for taking time to read it.
