More about this scene

On the northern slopes of Cothelstone Hill, Parkend Lodge overlooks an entrance to the estate, which takes its name from the Norman de Coveston family who first held the manor. Cothelstone House was built as a country residence in 1820 to replace an earlier manorial hall, but whilst the old manor still stands, the 'new' house was demolished in 1968.
