A Memory of Crewe.
I lived in Remer St from 1941 to 1966.
I remember;-
Bonars farm , Mosses farm, Barnetts farm all on Remer St.
Groby Rd residents, Percy Barnett, Arthur and Lizzie Badrock.
Powells farm.
North St Chapel
Beeches garage
Elliots fish and chips , Greenway
Dolly Bostocks shop Greenway
Billy Stretch cobblers North St. He was deaf and dumb.
Micklewrights farm Stoneley Rd.
I was Susan Whittaker now Morton.

I live in Remer st now and desperate to find some history about the house. Were you aware of the house on the corner of Remer st, Middlewich St, number 9. I understand it was once a small holding, then a doctors and then lived in by a Mrs Vickery? Or Vickers?
I can't find photos or previous owners.
