At the south-eastern corner of Worcestershire stands Cropthorne, a pretty village just off the Evesham to Pershore road. Its old cottages with their colourful gardens, its ancient church, and lovely scenery with Bredon Hill just in the background, make a visit a memorable experience.

I lived in the green bunglow at the Huxley caravan site in about 1953. My mother's name was Barbara Buxton and dads name was Roy Buxton.
Dad has now passed away but my mother is now 83 and lives in a residenial home in Plymouth, Devon. I think dad worked as a caravan builder somewhere by Harvington. I sometimes visit Hampton with my husband and would love to know or contact the people who now have the the green bungalow on the Huxley site.

My ancestors were millers in this area and one of my gt gt uncles was living at Cropthorne Mill on the 1881 census, his father, my gt gt grandfather, was at Northway Mill in Ashchurch. It's lovely to see what these places were like.
My mother who is 93 this year and very much alive and kicking is descended from the Cropthorne Dingleys. She spent much of her early childhood and teenage years before ww2 with her family in Cropthorne. She has such vivid memories of the area and even remembers many names of the local people. If anyone knows how her anecdotal history might somehow be archived, please do let me know.
