Croydon In The 30's &40's

A Memory of Croydon.

I was born in croydon 1929 I was christine finch then . Went to croydon parish church School and then to croydon British girl's school in scarbrook road is there anyone who remembers that school.

Interestingly my mother went to the school but she was very reluctant to talk about it. Where abouts was it in Scarbrook Road?

I went to Croydon British Girls School from 1948 until it closed which I think was in 1951 when I went to Lanfranc for a year. A few yards down from the school was Scarbrook Swimming Pool.
Anyone else remember that period?
