Dittisham, Greenway Quay c.1960

More about this scene
Apart from the ferry, Greenway Quay has been fairly quiet, with the exception of two periods. The first was during the building of the seafront at Torquay, when sand dredged from the river was landed here; and the second was in the 1970s, when for a short time Browse Brothers' fleet used the quay for landing shellfish.
