Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

Standing majestically atop the White Cliffs, this fortress is known as the 'guardian of the gateway to England'. It was an important Iron Age site, and the Anglo-Saxons built the original structure. The hill, or motte, beneath was of Norman origin, and Henry III used the castle as a garrison. Its underground tunnel network played an essential part in the Second World War.

Dover 1950
Lived in Dover 1950 went to school in Guston just two classes/teachers Mrs Mills in charge, lived opposite Burgoyne Heights houses gone now wonderful memories, came to Dover from Smethwick Stepfather was in Army at the Castle ( Royal Enniskilling Fusilliers),been back its changed so much i remember the seafront houses still had rooves misses (war damage)..John Leavesley 07532253533

Meal At The Dover Stage.
When my grandfather came down from Liverpool to visit me and my parents in '59, we went for a meal at the Dover Stage. It was one of the most delicious, satisfying meals I've ever had. Can still remember the sense of the taste now, even though I can't remember what the meal consisted of!

Fools Gold And Castles
I can look back to sunny days and my uncle helping us to collect fools gold at St Margaret at Cliff. Auntie Alice would pack up a picnic and we would take a ride in the car (I can't remember what type) and we would sit down on the beach, I think it was cobbles, I don't remember any sand. We would spend a couple of weeks of our school holidays with Alice and Jeff, it probably gave mum and dad a bit of peace ...see more

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
