More about this scene

The tower of St Peter's Church was built in the 15th century. Inside the church there are some very fine carvings attributed to the Rev F E Robinson, a dedicated campanologist, who was reputed to have rung the bells in every belfry in England. The row of houses on the left has since been demolished.
