The War Memorial and White Swan Inn c1965 In the 1850s the locals' thirst could be quenched in the township's six inns and taverns; the Blue Posts, the Coach and Horses, the Green Dragon, the Greyhound Inn, the Horse and Jockey, the Red Lion and the White Swan. There were also four beerhouses run by Charles Fisher, Charles Frith, George Goodwin and Matthew Lowe.
