More about this scene

As with most rural churches, All Saints' had an attached farm and barn. The name 'tithe' indicates the building where tithes were stored, a tithe being a tax or contribution of a tenth part of one's income for the support of a religious establishment. 'Tithe' or 'tenth' derives from the Old English word 'teogotha', and was usually in the form of produce, not money.

Fond Memories
Lived in Easington in Turmarr Villas with my two children Julie and Tracie. Had friends, Diane Clubley and her sister Carol. Still have friends there Mary and Geoff Brisby. Loved it there, does anyone remember us? Now live in Spain but would love to visit one day.

I Lived In The Square
I used to live in the square in one of the houses opposite the church. My father was in the navy at Spurn Head for a couple of years during the war. I went to the local school and I think my teacher was called Miss Skelton. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
