East Budleigh, Main Street 1906

More about this scene
East Budleigh's main street has changed little since this photograph was taken at the outbreak of the Great War. The village was an important market town when neighbouring Budleigh Salterton consisted of a few scattered fishermen's cottages. The unusual house on the left was demolished soon after this photograph was taken.
