Lawrence Shops Bethcar St 40’s 60’s

A Memory of Ebbw Vale.

My Grandmother Linda May lawrence owned 3 shops in Bethcar st - one was a hair and beauty salon and I believe one was a tobacco shop but unsure of the other. I would love to know more. I remember being in the flat where she lived above the shops. She died in 1969. The flat was 59a Bethcar st. It is now Fonseca solicitors.
Her son Neville was my dad. He also worked in the shops. I had such fond memories of being in wales. My other nan also owned a corner/ grocer shop in ebbw vale - her name was Nellie Child, her daughter Patricia was my mum. Her other daughter Doris died in 1950 of mysterious circumstances which were noted in the newspaper at the time.
I would love to know more.
