My School Bus.

A Memory of Edgware.

In this photo is pictured a 645 Trolly bus the one I used to catch to Edgware Secondry Modern School at Spur Road
I Lived in Manor Park Cresant the bottom of which is just in front of the Trolly bus on the right, I lived in Edgware from 1949-1962.
I was at Edgware School from 1957-1961.
After moveing to Bushey in 1962 I then moved to Cornwall where I still live.
I have very fond memorys of Edgware and the friends that I had there, I used to go to Saturday morning Pictures at the Ritz at the top of the road, I listend to childrens favorites with uncle Max on the light program which finished at five to ten so I just had time to get to the pictures for ten. I think the manager was Bill White.
I went on a trip from there to Haringay Arena to see Roy Rogers, I was a great Western fan and I still am.
I fondly remember us all singing the ABC song just befor the show started, it went somthing like this.

We are the boys and girls all known as minors of the ABC.
And every saturday all line up to see the films we like and shout about with glee.
We like to laugh and have a sing song just a happy crowd are we,
Were all palls together were minors of the ABC.

I remember going to Mill Hill swiming pool by catching a RT 113 from Edgware Station which stoped just round the corner from the swiming pool, or a TD 240a also from the statoin to Mill Hill Broadway and walking past the Fire Station to the pool, There is something about a big Red Fire Engine.
