A Memory of Englefield Green.

My name is John barnikel. I was born on January 25th 1943 in the back bedroom of my grandmother's house at 46 bond st.I had my tonsils removed at the cottage hospital when I was five. I remember queuing up with my mother to receive ration books.Windsor park was my playground and endeared me to nature.I went to the st judes elementary school until I was eleven, then went to strode,s school in egham joined the navy at sixteen. Met my wife to be, lilli and married her when I was twenty four. So many great memories
