A Memory of Erith.

My mum was born in no 49 Manor Road, Gladys Crone - my aunts also, Jessie Crone and Mary Crone. Aunt Jessie Lived in no 49 till 1975. When I was born I lived in no 13.
My mum was Gladys Mills Nee Crone. I am Keith Mills and I attended Cresent Road School for a little while. I got TB so we moved to Littlehampton Jan 1953, but used to come and stay with my aunt at 49. I now live on Thames Mead but often go to Erith and show my wife the changes. I am sorry to say I do not like any of the changes that have been made to Erith.

I went to Crescent rd late 50's early 60' s we left for Folkestone in 1964 when i was 10 my dad was going to run an offlicence there i think we had an Elsie Crone in our class also tony Middleditch john featherstone bob McClennon whos Mother went to the school to confront a teacher (mrs Fairhurst ) for hitting Bobby also there was Harry Odd and Shirly Harris my name is Henry Chambers

Hello from sunny Devon! I lived at 24 manor road from birth in 1952 till 1971 when I moved down here. I went to crescent red school and remember tony middleditch Barry vousden tony brown Barbara binnie jean Norris.mr chinery was headmaster and I think his daughter was Brenda. They lived in a posh house in avenue rd! My big brothers John and Peter Ellis went there before me. Pete was in a pop group in the 60 s and was an apprentice printer at Randals. Went to Erith in 2012...oh goodness what an untidy scruffy dump!!!! Felt quite uncomfortable and threatened actually. So sad .... Marilyn Caunter nee Ellis
