More about this scene
The Duke of Suffolk and his wife Alice, a granddaughter of the poet Geoffrey Chaucer, built the two-storey primary school in the mid 1400s. The school, which is still in use today, is one of the oldest active schools in the county. Behind the school are some almshouses that were built during the same period.
