The Shore Of Wood And Glass

A Memory of Eynort.

Eynort shore is not the prettyist in the west, but it's washed up some odd things from time to time, Both myself and my brother have found messages in a bottle, and a least half a dozen bombs or old test missiles which all ways caused a great trill to us all, as the coast guard or police would pick them up. 1/4 mile down the shore line is the fulin, an out crop of rocks and round stones bluting out in to the sea, A place used for fishing, in resent times the Fulinn has been used for the samlon fishing and its shellter for that of a few lobster boats.I recall when a was young going to sea in a 12f ex fishfarm boat,a 4hp seagull outboard and a few daros, with my brothers Tim and Danny,The sea was like glass and the fish crate we had taken with us was full upon returning back from the {dosca}a large lump of rock just out of Loch Eynort, the boat spung a leak, water came in at a fair rate and as there was no live jackets we tryed hard to keep the water out, in all of the this the outboard was make a dieing humm and gave up, with one oar I stoad at the bow and roe'd like a man posesed, while my brothers bailed out the intruding water after aleast 2 hours we came a shore at the Fulin.Wet and happy to be on dry land we walked home with our catch of mackerel, the sun disapeared in to Glen Tusdaleand and all but memories off the Glen remained.
