Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

The creators of Golden Acre Holiday Bungalows - as they are now called - proposed a relatively modest development of 18 such buildings. They came up with 'bungalets', a concept that the planners preferred as an alternative to chalets, a building type from the 1930s whose image was unfashionable. The view is westwards from Lower Eype to the outline of Thorncombe Beacon (centre) above Lyme Bay. This was another of the pictures that found their way to the Earl of Antrim, chairman of the National Trust, and persuaded him to launch the Enterprise Neptune initiative to acquire Britain's endangered coastline.
