Ferryside, Beach And Lifeboat House 1937

More about this scene
The lifeboat house was deemed necessary by the local authorities in view of the dangerous channels and sandbanks already noted. Many small craft, both working fishing boats and pleasure vessels, regularly experienced difficulties. The lifeboat crew, pictured here, seem to have their priorities right in simply taking the sun rather than attempting repairs to the boat in the foreground!
