Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

The nineteenth hole is to be found in Nether Court, a free-standing neo-Jacobean mansion by Percy Stone. The course, one of many within Greater London, occupies a stretch of land extending south from Frith Manor to the Dollis Brook. Although suburbia laps around its southern edges, the course does, in part, retain a well-treed, almost rural atmosphere.

Happy Days In Finchley
I lived at 8 Avondale Road from 1953 until 1959 and like many others spent loads of happy summer days with my friends at the Finchley Pool. During the winter we would go nearly every night to the indoor pool in Squiers Lane. I attended Mannoreside School, also in Squiers Lane and was in the primary school football team that won the local cup in 1954, we beat Summerside School for the Trophy. Others in the ...see more

Daves Snack Bar
I lived in finchley in the 50`s and 60`s and my dad owned Daves snack bar which was next to St Mary`s School. In this pcture i can see the snack bar and im pretty sure my father is in the picture although it is the back of him . Good memories

My Memory Of This Area
On the left is the entrance to Victoria Park, just where the car is parked. Originally there were lovely wrought iron gates which Queen Victoria had opened on the dedication of the park. The council had them removed much to everyones dismay. That must have been in the '50s? In the middle distance on the right is the old police station.

Summer Time
Such a lovely swimming pool. In summer it was always so popular you were given a time limit on the use of a locker, then you took your clothes and put them in the seating area, and took it in turns to watch them. There was hardly an inch to move.

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
