More about this scene
Construction of the American-influenced Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramroad (B&FT) began in July 1897, and by September 1898 the line was fully opened. From Ash Street to the Blackpool terminus at Gynn, the tramroad ran on a reserved track segregated from other road traffic; it was only at the northern end that it actually ran through the streets of Fleetwood.
