Fleetwood, The Beach 1902

More about this scene
To the left, overlooking the beach, stands the lifeboat station and, on the right, one of the town's two lighthouses. It was built in 1840, its lantern originally lit by gas until converted to electrical operation. The second light stands a little way behind, in the town, a much taller tower modelled on the Pharos light of ancient Alexandria.
