Oh So Shocked
A Memory of Frensham.
I worked at LPH between school and tertiary education in the mid 60s. I am horrified to read the comments on this page. For me at the time that I was there, this was a truly happy and joyful place offering holidays to Lithuanian children. We were all so happy. The little German that I remember was through working with these lovely children, playing 'foosbal' and so on . I got to cook lovely meals for them . A local bakery would bring around wonderful cakes which they donated. I actually searched out this page in my late 70s to remind me of those, for me, happy times. Dear, dear children who were abused there, I am so sorry. I never in all my years remember LPH in that way, and I am a professional Social Worker with a PhD. Dear children, I weep for you. I had no idea of anything like this in my time at LPH. I hope that you have accessed professional help in your later years. More, I hope that you are now happy. Jennifer
