More about this scene

Formed in 1884 as a private club for just 25 members, the Formby course has played host to an increasing number of national and international tournaments in recent years. A neighbouring Freshfield Club existed until World War II, when the land was requisitioned as a Royal Air Force station and the clubhouse became the Officers mess.
