Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Old Cottage Hospital

A Memory of Frimley.

I remember having to go to this hospital as child I came off my bicycle on new stretch of road near my home .
just to let everyone know . the hospital has been boarded up for sometime and till recently there was a small fire on ground floor currently in magazine it was written by Ken Clark that of the old cottage hospital the reverend Frederick Middleton. who was then a vicar of ST Michael of Camberley when he died he left money with a wish that it could be used for accident ward .by May 1908 it was then decided on site near the white hart at Frimley to build cottage hospital. now as I see it recently subject to planning permission to demolish some of it and build number of housing units on it.it is listed building some will be retained. old original building is being re-roofed .

Sad to see it go. My sister Moira Hayward was born here in 1956 and as schoolchildren in the 50's we raised money by Carol Singing etc to donate to this hospital. I still have the letter the Matron sent me thanking us. They planted small trees with the money and put up a plaque. Julia Hayward

As a child we lived in Frith cottage behind the cottage hospital.my parents sold a large chunk of the garden to the NHS in the mid 70 s .I went back 4 years ago and Frith cottage was boarded up and has since been demolished to make way for luxury apartments encompassing the old listed part of the cottage hospital...Vanessa Garlick

My late ex-husband and I were both born in Frimley Cottage Hospital in 1952 and 1953. We had only one digit different on our NI number. We were born, as far as I know, in the maternity ward on the bottom left hand side as you look at the front of the building. As a child I remember going to the Cottage Hospital for x-rays as my parents both had TB when I was a child. My 2 children and granddaughter were born in Frimley Park Hospital. My father was on the committee of Frimley Cottage Hospital until Frimley Park Hospital was built and then he remained on the committee of Frimley Children's Centre. My paternal grandfather is buried in St. Peter's church yard
