More about this scene
Flendyshe House, facing the small green, is an early 17th-century house remodelled in 1807. On the green is the war memorial. Next to the house is a flint barn, and to the left is another old farmhouse. In Maltings Lane to the right stands a 17th-century maltings that was used by the Home Guard for rifle practice during the war.
