Fulwood, The Methodist Church c.1960

More about this scene
It is hard to imagine that this fine church occupies land which was once Fulwood Moor. Here pasturage rights were granted by King John, and in the 19th century political meetings were held here which led to fisticuffs. Peter Hesketh Fleetwood was then a Member of Parliament for Preston and attended these meetings.
