Funtington, Hallidays 1965

More about this scene
Nestling under the steep southern slope of the Sussex Downs, Funtington is typical of the inland villages of the coastal plain. Hallidays is built of local materials obtained within a radius of a few miles. The flints would have been collected from the fields, and the straw left over after the harvest was probably used for the thatched roof.
