On The Tor
A Memory of Glastonbury.
Somewhere I have a picture of a group of friends & myself here. taken in the early '70's. It was a peaceful place then, & you could walk up & not see a soul, apart from the occasional local walking their dogs.
On a good day you could see all across the Somerset Levels, & it was easy to imagine the lake village of olden times.
Since the success of the festival, it has become a meeting place for alternative types, & someone trying to see a sunset or sunrise in peace will find their contemplations interrupted by (usually) badly played bongos or didgeridoos. Got nothing against hippieish folk, used to be one, but...
