This building is now derelict. A sign of the times is here in the form of the AA box (right) with two AA patrol men going across the road for a quick one! The three men wearing peaked caps (centre right) could well be airmen from one of several nearby airfields; one of them, Hemswell, is now a very large antiques centre. The signpost (left) is a mass of information; there is now a large traffic island at this dangerous cross roads. The A15 is in fact a Roman road – Ermine Street.

Parish Council
I grew up in Glentham, having lived there all my life until the age of 31 when I was driven out in January 2000. I buried my late father there in December 1991. My father had already buried my mother and his own parents, my grandparents there. My father had spent many years as a parish and district councillor there, being credited as the prime mover in establishing a village hall and mains sewerage in the village ...see more

However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
