River Walks.....
A Memory of Golden Green.
I lived in Three Elm Lane, Golden Green, Kent and moved there in the 1950's and my parents left in the 1970's. As a child I went to Hadlow Primary School, Hadlow and then onto Hugh Christie, Tonbridge and yes I was also in the first year, when the school was first opened.
My mother used to cycle to The Golden Green Post office (our local store) with my sister in a small seat on the back of the bike.
We used to spend time walking to Hart Lake Bridge and walking alongside the river. Still a great walker and although I now live on the South Coast I often return. Wonderful area to grow up in.
