More about this scene
A young man enjoys the broad prospect of Gorleston sands from the worn and pocked cliff. The ports of East Anglia have suffered continual erosion down the centuries. The mouths of the Rivers Bure, Yare and Waveney were joined through silting above Yarmouth and now flow south to the sea at Gorleston.
