Woodheads Estate History
A Memory of Grange-Over-Sands.
This picture I believe was taken from Woodheads. You can compare it with an earlier photo of 1894 of 'Grange over Sands from Woodheads' (photo ref 34123). It is interesting to see that the land below Woodheads was still unbuilt upon at 1921 although a new house has appeared on what looks like Highfield Road. In 1908 the Woodheads Estate had land sloping down to Fernleigh Road and Kentsbank Road. I am trying to piece together the history of the Woodheads Estate and would welcome any info people wish to share. Thank you.
