Grays, The Parade c.1955

More about this scene
A busy parade of shops with distinctive gables line the road at this point. Several prams can be seen outside, and a child rides happily on the pavement on a tricycle. The row of shops remains, although the proprietors have changed. The road outside has changed too - the grass verge has disappeared under a road-widening scheme. The road is now the very busy A1013, formerly the A13.
