Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Monday 5th January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

Church Street is so named because it lies next to the church yard of 'the most magnificent parish church in England'. The former Benedictine priory was dissolved by Henry VIII, but fortunately for posterity, the church was bought by the townspeople (for the enormous sum of £20) to replace their old parish church.

When in 2018 I started work as a supervisor in a shop on Church Street, it occurred to me that I had had four jobs & two volunteer posts on the road. The first was a temporary job in the late '70's under the Job Creation Scheme. We were working for the Council, the depot was in Pickersleigh Road (now a builders merchant), next to Prospect View.
