More about this scene
Here we see Hutton Hall from the north, showing the main entrance and driveway, the view that house party guests would first see upon arriving by carriage, having been brought up from the Pease's nearby private station. To the right, the rhododendron-lined main driveway leads up from the picturesque lodge or gatehouse, also designed by Waterhouse. To the left, the back drive leads to the turreted courtyard on the extreme left of the Hall and then on to the stables, coach houses and garden buildings.
