More about this scene
In the 12th century Gweek was a significant tin-streaming centre and had its own merchant guild. Ancient tin moulds have been found built into the walls of the quay. Its once navigable creek is now silted up. On the left, Mr Courtis the cobbler has arrived in the village in his ornate, glass-windowed coach.
