More about this scene
A real coach party - that is, a party using a coach and horses - arrives at the stable block at Haddon Hall. The bowler-hatted gentlemen alight to face the climb up to the house. The stable block is now used as a restaurant and tea room, and the topiary of a Manners peacock and a Vernon boar's head in the garden at the front has now grown much larger.
