More about this scene
Famous as a yachting centre, Hamble has long thrived on its close proximity to the river of the same name, with its shipbuilding associations, yacht clubs and marinas. Originally a small fishing village renowned for oysters, crabs and lobsters, Hamble was later to become a sprawling community with the accent on leisure and the aircraft industry.
