Old School

A Memory of Harborne.

I went to St Peters School fron 1952 to 1957. I love my time there. I remember the toilets in the back play ground. I also remember the school dinners they were great and cooked fresh each day. We went to St Peters church for all of the main services and my favourite was Harvest festival when we had to take our offerings to the front of the church before the service. I always took tomatoes and cucumbers as my dad grew them himself. I have very fond memories of this school. My name was Brenda Mee my younger sister also when there her name was Annette .

I went to St Peter's 1945-1952 following in my father's/uncle and aunts footsteps ..as did my son in 1970 when he became the third generation to go there.
I went to the ? 200yr celebration in the 90's..and glad to report all toilets are now indoors...not before time..
I am still in contact with some fellow pupils...not bad going for us in our 70's...and have made new "friends " on the Harborne Then and Now site
Even found people I used to take for walks
I went to St. Peter's school between 1954 -1959 Mary Boden.
