More about this scene

Prior to tourism and archaeology, Harlyn was a fishing village. The fleet fished mainly for pilchards using seine nets but, like fishermen the world over, would catch anything they could sell or eat - in May 1888 a Mr Saunders harpooned a young Sperm Whale.
