More about this scene
The legendary resting place of Robin Hood's loyal lieutenant has been pointed out to visitors to Hathersage churchyard for many years, and has been 'adopted' by the Ancient Order of Foresters, who look after it. Little John was said to be the son of a Hathersage nailor, and he died in a cottage (now demolished) to the east of the churchyard.
