Haywards Heath, Jireh Court c.1965

More about this scene
Jireh Court has been a particularly successful development, primarily because of its location, just a five-minute walk to either the bus or railway station, yet only five minutes from the Broadway for shopping. The buildings replaced a large Victorian house. The sloping site was successfully incorporated into the design of the blocks of flats, allowing for garages to be unobtrusively accessible. Not every residential unit would have a garage, hence the need for designated parking spaces as well.
