Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Happy Hebburn Memories

A Memory of Hebburn.

we used to live in a terraced house at 30 South street before we moved into 2,Byron Avenue.on the corner.Dad worked in Swan Hunters shipyard and Mum worked in the Co-op on the Black road.Dad drank in the Clock pub.Mums family lived om Hedgely road. I was baptised in st Cuthberts church.This was in the 50s when Halls coaches used to run to Leicester,where we moved to .Halls had a depot opposite Clegwell school.My Nanna lived in Shakespeare Avenue in a bungalow.Grandad got blown up by a shell in WW1.Most of our remaining families live in Leicestershire now. I remember more if you wish to contact me for a yap haha. Happy Days.

I was very interested in your memories of Hebburn. I used to live in Quarry road just by Hebburn park. My parents lived there until both past away. My mums parents lived in Barnard Crescent. My grandfather was a coal miner. and he drank in the Clock. He was known as "Stotty Ward" so he may have known your grandfather. I went to Glegwell school in the 50s and early 60s. I now live on the Costa del Sol in Spain. I was looking for pics or info on what shops were on Station Rd. in the 50s & 60s If you can remember anything about them or have info on them I would be very interested to hear from you

Hi, there is a Facebook page called Pictorial Hebburn, which you would find interesting. Very friendly locals who will help with any memories or questions relating to Hebburn and the surrounding areas. There are some fantastic photos on there, old and new, including ones of Station Road shops.
