Heswall, Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital

A Memory of Heswall.

I,ve lived in Irby in my early years in a prefab, temp housing after the war. I had a accident and went to Heswall hospital by milk float as we had no car or phone in those days. My memory was the open or charity days I think with a plane in the open grounds and we used to play on it, health and safety would be all over it nowadays. My sister and I used to go carol singing in Heswall and the money we raised went to buy some small Christmas presents for the children who were unfortunate to be in at that time.
