The Davison Family, 33 Downs Lane

A Memory of Hetton-Le-Hole.

My family all lived here in the 1911 Census. Alfred, Sarah and 11 children. When Alfred was killed down Eppleton Pit aged just 41, Sarah was left to bring up all the children on her own. They moved to 13 Summerson Street later which still stands. Has anyone any photos of 33 Downs Lane, or could tell me when it was demolished?

Re the Davison family 33 Downs lane, was Sarah's maiden name Wilkinson? if so I believe she was my grandfather Thomas Wilkinsons sister, I remember him taking me to Summerson St many years ago. Was Brian Hill also a relative? I'm nearly 82 now and my be getting a bit of brain fog but I think I'm right about Sarah and Brian.
Hi Thomas. Sarah Davison [my Grandmother] was Wilkinson before she married Alfred Davison. My mother Alice was one of her daughters. Elizabeth was another daughter [my Auntie Betty] She married Ronnie Hill and they lived at 13 Summerson Street. They had two sons - Brian Hill and Derek Hill [my cousins] Brian is no longer with us but Derek is very well. Are you related to June Gardiner?
