More about this scene
There are excellent parking facilities for vehicles in this part of the High Street. With different makes of cars lined up as though they are for sale, there is just enough space left for the approaching small Austin Seven. The first shop on the right belonged to Mr Strutt, who sold many things; he also ran a taxi business. The third building belongs to Mr Newman, the newsagent who also ran the post office. Next door is Siddalls, a family firm who have been selling shoes and handbags since 1936.
